Schools have the option of booking a general self-guided visit to Hertfordshire Zoo, alternatively they can choose to take part in one of our education sessions as part of their visit.

Off-Peak (September-March): £9.90 per student & Peak (April – July): £12.90 per student.
Ratio requirements: 1:6 for Nurseries or Primary Schools & 1:10 for Secondary Schools or Colleges. Additional Adults are £15.
Students with additional needs who require 1:1 support are entitled to a complimentary carer ticket, included within the cost of their entry.

Education Sessions

We offer a range of innovative and engaging education sessions, tailored to the age and abilities of your school group. All sessions are mapped to the National Curriculum and take place in our dedicated classroom, ‘Base Camp’. Each session is limited to a maximum of 30 students. Mini Meets

Mini Meets provide the opportunity to meet one of our educators outside an animal habitat for an exciting and engaging talk about your chosen species. Using a range of interactive resources, including 3D-printed skulls, our educators bring each animal to life through fascinating facts and discussion. Mini Meets are currently available at our Lion, Sun Bear, and Gibbon habitats. Each session costs £15 and lasts approximately 10–15 minutes. Limited to 30 students per slot. Suitable for reception and above
